Introduction

Elizabeth began studying the violin at the age of 9 with her school district’s orchestra program.  All throughout high school, she was actively involved in the program and began reaching out to more prestigious youth programs and community orchestras.  Elizabeth  performed two seasons with the Stow Symphony Orchestra as a first and second violinist.  Elizabeth performed two seasons with the Akron Youth Symphony as a first and second violinist and participated in the Akron Youth Symphony Chamber Music program.

Elizabeth attended and graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory for her Bachelors Degree in Violin Performance and Music Theory.  She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Violin Performance at Florida Atlantic University. 

Living in close proximity to Cleveland, she was exposed to many different musical environments.  From the students of the Cleveland Institute of Music to the Cleveland Orchestra, she was able to cultivate her taste and passion for music.  The musical community in the city and in the conservatory itself, allowed for the growth and development of her skills as a musician and a student.

As an undergraduate, Elizabeth explored many avenues of music. The annual Bach Festival opened her curiosity for music history and theory, while allowing her the chance to hear period performances of masterworks such as the Art of the Fugue.  She participated in the first jazz string quartet of the conservatory, which allowed her to experience, not only jazz improvisation, but also the business aspect of music with organizing rehearsals, gigs, transportation and even the selection of music.  She attended countless seminars of orchestral playing, theoretical presentations, research classes and solfege training.
